Swift wins Northern Group of Motoring Writers Car of the Year
Suzuki is very pleased to announce its second accolade for Swift, this time The Northern Group of Motoring Writers have voted it as their Car of the Year for 2024.
Launched in the UK and Republic of Ireland just six months ago, the latest Swift model has impressed the group since launch with its high level of standard specification, hybrid technology, strong fuel economy as well as its sub-£20,000 price tag.
Northern Group members tested every new and significantly revised model introduced over the preceding 12-month period for eligibility for their Car of the Year; Swift faced some strong competition across many brands but emerged as the clear overall winner. The trophy, awarded at the recent SMMT North Regional media day at Wetherby, is a working miner’s lamp, affectionately known as the ‘Arthur’ as a nod to the famous miner’s leader Arthur Scargill who was very prolific in the region and of course Nationally.
